Cats infected with FIV generally do not show any symptoms for many years, but once symptoms appear, the function of the cat's immune system will decline, leading to various secondary infections. The main symptoms of FIV infection in cats are: swollen lymph nodes, fever, anemia, diarrhea, weight loss, loss of appetite, abnormal or inflamed eyes (conjunctivitis), inflammation of the gums (gingivitis), red skin or hair loss, sneezing, eyes Or nose discharge, frequent urination and abnormal behavior.
TEST PROCEDURE
Use dropper
Before use, all components must equilibrate to room temperature (15 - 25°C) for 10 minutes.
- Remove the test card from the foil pouch and place it flat on a work surface.
- Use a capillary dropper to transfer 1 drop of the treated sample into the each sample well.
- Use a disposable dropper to transfer 3 drops of the assay buffer into the each sample well.
- Start the timer. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes to read the result.
Use pipette
- Remove the test card from the foil pouch and place it flat on a work surface.
- Use a pipette to transfer 10 μL of the treated sample into the each sample well.
- Use a pipette to transfer 90 μL of the assay buffer into the each sample well.
- Start the timer. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes to read the result.
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS for FIV FeLV Kit
- Positive ():" C" line and "T" line exist simultaneously, whether the line is clear or blurred.
- negative(-): show clear C line. Only no T line.
- Invalid: No color line in C area. regardless of whether the T line appears or not.
