Principle

Cat FIV Ab detection is based on the sandwich method of lateral flow immunochromatography.The test card has a test window for observing the test running and reading the results.The test window has an invisible T (test) area and a C (control) area.The processed sample is coated into the sample hole on the device, and the liquid flows laterally across the surface of the test strip to react with the pre-coated FIV recombinant antigen.If there are FIV antibodies in the specimen, a visible T line will appear.Line C should always appear after the application example, which represents a valid result.In this way, the device can accurately indicate the presence of FIV antibodies in the specimen.

Test Procedures

TEST PROCEDURE

 

1. Remove the test card from the foil pouch and place it flat on a work surface.
2. Transfer 1 drop (using a capillary dropper) of the treated sample into the sample well.
3. Transfer 3 drops (using a disposable dropper) of the assay buffer into the sample well.
4. Start the timer. Wait 5 for 10 minutes to read the result.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

- Positive ():" C" line and "T" line exist simultaneously, whether the line is clear or blurred.
- negative(-): show clear C line. Only no T line.
- Invalid: No color line in C area. regardless of whether the T line appears or not.
