The Feline Giardia Antigen AG Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Giardia antigen (Giardia Ag) in cat's feces or vomit specimen.

Principle

The Feline Giardia Ag Rapid Test Kit is based on sandwich transverse flow immunochromatography.The test appliance has a test window to watch the test run and read the results.Before running a test, the test window has an invisible T (test) area and a C (control) area.When the treated sample is applied to the sample hole on the device, the liquid will flow across the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated monoclonal antibody.If there is Jaegarworm antigen in the specimen, a visible T line will appear. The C line should always appear after the application sample, which indicates a valid result.In this way, the device can accurately indicate the presence of jia jia antigen in the specimen.

Test Procedures

Test procedures of visual interpretation
1. Remove the test card from the foil pouch and place it flat on a work surface.
2. Transfer 4 drops of the treated sample from the assay buffer tube into the sample well.
3. Start the timer. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes to read the result.

Interpretation of visual interpretation results


Test procedures of instrumental interpretation (Standard Test)
1. Turn on the FIC - Q100N Dry Immunoassay Analyzer.
2. Use the analyzer's scanner to scan the QR code on the inner label of the box or the label of bag to import the calibration curve into the analyzer.
3. Remove the test card from the foil pouch.
4. Position the front of the card facing up, ensuring that the sample well is oriented towards the outside of the analyzer's test card slot.
5. Insert the card into the test card slot of the analyzer.
6. Transfer 4 drops of the treated sample from the assay buffer tube into the sample well of the test card.
7. Push the test card to the farthest end of the slot.
8. Tap "Standard Test" on the screen to start the testing. Please refer to the analyzer's operation manual for detailed instructions.

 

Test procedures of instrumental interpretation (Quick Test)

1. Turn on the FIC-Q100N Dry Immunoassay Analyzer .
2. Use the analyzer's scanner to scan the QR code on the inner label of the box or the label of bag to import the calibration curve into the analyzer.
3. Remove the test card from the foil pouch.
4. Transfer 4 drops (using a disposable dropper) of the treated sample into the sample well.
5. Wait for 5-10 minutes, then push the test card to the farthest end of the test card slot.
6. Tap "Quick Test" on the screen to start the testing. Please refer to the analyzer's operation manual for detailed instructions.

 

Interpretation of instrumental interpretation results
With the assistance of the FIC-Q100N Dry Immunoassay Analyzer, the test result can be classified into five phases: negative, suspicious (grey zone), weak positive, positive, and strong positive. This method provides better judgment and more objective interpretation than visual judgment, especially in cases of low GIA loading.
