Principle

Principle
The test card features a testing window for observing assay progress and result reading. This window contains an initially invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone. In the assay, highly selective antibodies to Chlamydia felis antigen serve as the capture (T) and detector (gold-labeled). When the treated sample is added to the sample well on the test card, the liquid flows laterally across the test strip. If Chlamydia felis antigen is present in the specimen, a visible T line appears, which can also be recognized by the FIC-Q100N Dry Immunoassay Analyzer. The C line must always appear after nsample application, indicating proper test performance. Thus, the test card accurately indicates the presence of Chlamydia felis antigen in the specimen.

 

Test Procedures

TEST PROCEDURE

1. Remove the test card from the foil pouch and place it flat on a work surface.
2. Use the extraction tube to add 4 drops of the treated sample into the sample well.
3. Start the timer. Wait for 10 minutes to read the result.

 

Positive (+): Both the Control (C) line and Test (T) line appear as magenta - colored lines in the testing window. Any faintly visible T line should be considered positive when the C line is also present.
Negative (-): The C line is visible, but the T line is not visible.
Invalid: No line appears in the C zone.
