SYMPTOMS FOR FPV FCOV GIA
Feline coronviruses generally have enteric symptoms, such as vomiting and diarrhea. In severe cases, dehydration may also occur. Coronavirus is mainly harmful to young cats of two or three months. It is transmitted through the digestive tract and has a low mortality rate. Generally, it can be cured through treatment.
Feline Panleucopenia Virus Symptoms
Infected kittens develop fever, decreased appetite, and poor mental health, followed by frequent vomiting and severe dehydration. Some cats may also experience abdominal pain and diarrhea, and even bloody stools that resemble tomato juice. If viral enteritis occurs in young cats that have not been vaccinated, the fatality rate will be as high as 90%. If a pregnant female cat is infected with cat plague, it will cause stillbirth and miscarriage, and the newborn kittens will also have neurological symptoms.
The onset of feline distemper is fast and the symptoms are obvious. It usually presents two extremes. If the short-term course of the disease exceeds 5-7 days and no fatal complications occur, it can often recover. Therefore, whether it can survive a week is a hurdle. If the disease lasts for a long time and the symptoms do not alleviate, the course of the disease will be very painful, and the fatality rate will be above 60-70%.
Feline Giardia Symptoms
Many cats become infected without symptoms, but the parasite attaches to the intestinal wall, causing sudden, foul-smelling diarrhea. Symptoms usually include:
loss of appetite/weight loss
vomiting, bloating, stomach cramps, nausea
greasy and sticky stool
blood in stool
Diarrhea, with stools that are getting looser in consistency
TEST PROCEDURE
- Collect cat's fresh feces or vomit with the cotton swab from cat's anus or from the ground.
- Insert the swab into the provided assay buffer tube. Agitates it to get efficient sample extraction.
- Take out the test device from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
- Suck the treated sample extraction from the assay buffer tube and place 3 drops into the sample hole "S" of the test device.
- Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 10 minutes is considered as invalid.
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
Positive (+): The presence of both "C" line and zone "T" line, no matter T line is clear or vague.
- Negative (-): Only clear C line appear. No T line.
- Invalid: No colored line appears in C zone. No matter if T line appears.
