Symptoms For FCV Infection 

The incubation period for caliciviruses is 2-6 days. Several caliciviruses infect cats, with symptoms varying depending on the virulence of the specific virus causing the infection. Some strains cause only mild symptoms, while others cause severe symptoms. Symptoms of caliciviruses are usually similar to a human cold, usually affecting the respiratory tract and mouth, and may include:

Sneezing/conjunctivitis/nasal discharge/eye discharge/fever/rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal mucosa)/salivation/ulcers on the tongue and roof of the mouth most common/inflammation of the gums/pneumonia can develop into more calicivirus strains/calicivirus can cause some temporary arthritis to infect the joints of cats leading to lameness syndrome, This syndrome is present both with caliciviruses and after vaccination

Feline caliciviruses can be complicated by secondary bacterial infections. It is common for cats to suffer from anorexia and dehydration, which can further weaken an already sick cat.
Virulentsystemic feline calicivirus -- VC-FCV in cats:
One particularly lethal form, called "feline malignant whole-body calicivirus infection or VS-FCV," has a mortality rate of 67%. Many of the symptoms also include upper respiratory and eye discharge, swelling of the face and limbs, hair loss and ear, facial and foot ulcers, jaundice and eventually multi-organ failure.

1. Remove the test card from the foil pouch and place it flat on a work surface.
2. Transfer 3 drops of the treated sample from the assay buffer tube into the sample well.
3. Start the timer. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes to read the result.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

- Positive ():" C" line and "T" line exist simultaneously, whether the line is clear or blurred.
- negative(-): show clear C line. Only no T line.
- Invalid: No color line in C area. regardless of whether the T line appears or not.
