About Cat Respiratory Disease
Respiratory disease in cats is usually associated with upper respiratory tract disease (URTD), but can sometimes be associated with lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI).
The upper airway includes the nasal passages, sinuses, pharynx, and larynx. Signs of an upper respiratory tract infection include clear or colored discharge from the eyes or nose, coughing, sneezing, conjunctivitis with swelling of the mucous membranes of the conjunctiva (conjunctival edema), lethargy, and anorexia. In rare cases, cats may experience difficulty breathing. Young, elderly, and immunosuppressed cats are more prone to severe disease and may die from URTD, often as a result of secondary infection (e.g. causing pneumonia), anorexia (hepatic steatosis), and dehydration.
LRTI may cause cough, lethargy, anorexia, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, runny nose, and fever in the lower respiratory tract, including the larynx, trachea, bronchi, and bronchioles below the vocal cords.

About Feline FHV FCV FMP Triple Antigen Diagnostic Test
The Felivet FHV-FCV-MP Ag Combo Test is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test card has two testing windows for the observation of assay running and result reading. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone before running the assay. When the treated sample was applied into the sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow through the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated monoclonal antibodies. If there is FHV, FCV or MP antigens in the specimen, a visible T line will appear. In this way, the device can accurately indicate the presence of FHV, FCV and MP antigen in the specimen.

TEST PROCEDURE
- Allow all materials, including specimen and test device, recover to 15-25ºC before running the assay.
- Collect cat's ocular or nasal secretions with the swab stick and make the swab wet sufficiently.
- Insert the swab into the provided assay buffer tube. Agitates it to get efficient sample extraction.
- Take out the test device from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
- Suck the treated sample extraction from the assay buffer tube and place 3 drops into the sample hole "S" of the test device.
- Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 15 minutes is considered as invalid.
