Feline Pancreas-specific lipase Quantitative Test
Short Introduction
The Felivet fPL Quanti-Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the quantitative detection of the feline pancreas-specific lipase(fPL) in cat's serum or plasma , as an auxiliary examination of pancreatitis.

Principle
The Felivet fPL Quanti-Test is based on sandwich method lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test device has a testing window for the observation of assay running and result reading. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone before running the assay.
When the treated specimen was applied into the specimen hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow through the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated fPL monoclonal antibodies. If the concentration of the feline pancreas-specific lipase (fPL) is exceeding 3 μg/L, a visible T line will appear and the results of feline pancreas-specific lipase (fPL) concentration could be obtained by the RDT-Calculator. The C line should always appear after the specimen is applied, which indicates a valid result. By this means, the device can accurately indicate the presence of fPL antigen in the specimen.
Test Procedure
Allow all reagents and materials, including specimen and test device, to balance at 15-25ºC for 30 minutes before running the assay.
-Take out the test device from the foil pouch and place it horizontally. Do not pick up the device from the platform until the testing is completed.
-Adjust the pipette scale to suck 10 μL specimen and add it into the specimen hole "S" of the test device.
-Replace the pipette tip. Adjust the pipette scale to suck 90 μL assay buffer and add it into the specimen hole "S". Start the timer.
(Note: pipette tips used for serum/plasma specimen should not be used for assay buffer to prevent contamination of assay buffer).
- Interpret the result in 10 minutes by using the RDT-Calculator. Reading time at 9 to 11 minutes is acceptable. Result out of this range is not credible for quantitative test. Result after 15 minutes is considered as invalid.
Interpretation Of Result
-Both C line and T line is visible and the darker the color of T line was, the higher the concentration of feline pancreas-specific lipase (fPL) in the specimen was.
-Results ≤3 μg/L, indicating that the concentration of feline pancreas-specific lipase (fPL) is normal.
-3 μg/L< Results ≤6 μg/L, indicating that the concentration of feline pancreas-specific lipase (fPL) is slightly higher than normal.
-Results > 6μg/L, indicating that the concentration of feline pancreas-specific lipase (fPL) is significantly higher than normal, and suggesting a high incidence of pancreatitis.
-Invalid: No colored line appears in the C line, even if a line appears in the T line. It indicates that incorrect operation may happen and the test result is invalid. Repeat the test with a new test device.
