Principle

The Avian Influenza Virus Antigen Rapid Test Kit is based on sandwich transverse flow immunochromatography.The test appliance has a test window to watch the test run and read the results.Before running a test, the test window has an invisible T (test) area and a C (control) area.When the treated sample is applied to the sample hole on the device, the liquid will flow across the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated monoclonal antibody.If the AIV antigen is present in the specimen, a visible T line will appear.The C line should always appear after applying the sample, which indicates a valid result.In this way, the device can accurately indicate the presence of AIV virus antigen in the specimen.

Test Procedures

TEST PROCEDURE 

- Remove the swab from the bird's eye, trachea and cloaca to collect secretions. Please wet the swab thoroughly.
- Insert the wet swab into the provided test buffer tube. Stir the swab to ensure good sample extraction.
- For blood samples, it is recommended to collect 0.5-1.0ml of blood and centrifuge at 1000rpm. Used directly in serum tests.
- Remove tape cartridge from foil bag and place horizontally.
- Take out the sample extract or serum and put 3 drops into the measurement sample well "S".
- Explain the results within 10 minutes. Results after 30 minutes are considered invalid.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
- Positive (+): The presence of both "C" line and zone "T" line, no matter T line is clear or vague.
- Negative (-): Only clear C line appear. No T line.
- Invalid: No colored line appears in C zone. No matter if T line appears.
