The Canivet CHW Ag Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Dirofilaria immitis antigens (CHW Ag) in dog's serum, plasma and whole blood specimen.
Assay Time: 5-10 minutes.
Specimen: serum, plasma and whole blood
The kit can be stored at room temperature (2-30°C). The test kit is stable through the expiration date (18 months) marked on the package label. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.
Allow all materials, including specimen and test device, recover to 15-25ºC before running the assay.
-Take out the test card from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
-Collect 50μL of the prepared specimen (serum, plasma or whole blood) into a vial of assay buffer and mix well. Then drop 3 drops (approx. 120μL) of the diluted sample into the sample hole "S" of the test card.
-Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 10 minutes is considered as invalid.
The Pathogen Of Heartworm Disease Is Dirofilaria Immitis, A Blood Parasitic Disease Transmitted By Mosquito Bites. It Can Infect Dogs Of Any Age. It Has Also Been Found In Cats And Humans. Research Reports Show That Stray Cats Suffer From Heartworm Disease. The Proportion Is 4-15%. Since Cats Have Small Hearts, Once They Suffer From This Disease, The Mortality Rate Is Much Higher Than That Of Dogs.
