The Strangles Ab Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for detection of Streptococcus equi antibodies (EIAV Ab) in equine serum. 


 

Reagents & Materials

 

• 5 test pouches, with cards and disposable droppers
• 5 vials of assay buffer
• 5 capillary droppers
• 1 package insert

 

Storage & Stability

Store the test kit at 2-30°C, away from direct sunlight, until the expiration date(24 months) . 
Use the test card immediately after removing it from the foil pouch (within one hour).


 

Test Procedure

• 1. Remove the test card from the foil pouch and place it flat on a work surface.
  2. Transfer 1 drop (using a capillary dropper) of the treated sample into the sample well. 
  3. Transfer 3 drops (using a disposable dropper) of the assay buffer into the sample well.
  4. Start the timer. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes to read the result.
