Principle for Parvo Virus Test
The test card features a testing window for observing assay progress and result reading. This window contains an initially invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone. In the assay, highly selective antibodies to canine parvovirus antigen serve as the capture (T) and detector (gold-labeled). When the treated sample is added to the sample well on the test card, the liquid flows laterally across the test strip. If canine parvovirus antigen is present in the specimen, a visible T line appears, which can also be recognized by the FIC-Q100N Dry Immunoassay Analyzer. The C line must always appear after sample application, indicating proper test performance. Thus, the test card accurately indicates the presence of canine parvovirus antigen in the specimen.
Symptoms for dog infected by Parvovirus
TEST PROCEDURE for Parvo Test kit
1. Collect canine fresh feces with the swab from canine anus or from the ground. The amount collected should be sufficient to cover approximately 1/3 to 2/3 of the swab tip.
2. Insert the swab into the assay buffer tube, agitate thoroughly, and let it stand for 30-60 seconds.
3. Use the liquid supernatant as sample for the assay
4. Remove the test card from the foil pouch and place it flat on a work surface.
5. Transfer 4 drops of the treated sample from the assay buffer tube into the sample well.
6. Start the timer. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes to read the result.
NOTE: In case of no flow in 30s, please add 1 drop more of the sample.
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS for Parvo Test kit
- Positive (+): The presence of both "C" line and zone "T" line, no matter T line is clear or vague.
- Negative (-): Only clear C line appear. No T line.
- Invalid: No colored line appears in C zone. No matter if T line appears.
