Short Introduction
Canine Parvo Virus is one of the most serious infectious diseases affecting dogs.
1.Viral population: possible in dogs of any age and breed; especially in puppies, highly contagious and with a high mortality rate.
2.Way of infection: digestive tract, clinical manifestations of gastrointestinal symptoms and myocarditis symptoms.
This product uses immunochromatography to qualitatively detect the presence of CPV in dog's feces or vomit specimen.

Principle
The Canivet CPV Ag Test is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test device has a testing window for the observation of assay running and result reading. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone before running the assay. When the treated sample was applied into the sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow through the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated monoclonal antibodies. If there is CPV antigen in the specimen, a visible T line will appear. The C line should always appear after a sample is applied, which indicates a valid result. By this means, the device can accurately indicate the presence of CPV antigen in the specimen.
Test Procedure
- Collect dog's fresh feces or vomit with the cotton swab stick from dog's anus or from the ground.
- Insert the wet swab into the provided test buffer tube. Stir the swab to ensure good sample extraction.
- For blood samples, it is recommended to collect 0.5-1.0ml of blood and centrifuge at 1000rpm. Used directly in serum tests.
- Remove tape cartridge from foil bag and place horizontally.
- Take out the sample extract or serum and put 3 drops into the measurement sample well "S".
- Explain the results within 10 minutes. Results after 30 minutes are considered invalid.
Interpretation Of Result
- Positive (+): The presence of both "C" line and zone "T" line, no matter T line is clear or vague.
- Negative (-): Only clear C line appear. No T line.
- Invalid: No colored line appears in C zone. No matter if T line appears.
