Principle

Principle

The Felivet FHV Ab Test is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test card has a testing window for the observation of assay running and result reading. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone before running the assay. When the treated sample was applied into the sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow through the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated FHV recombinant antigens. If there are FHV antibodies in the specimen, a visible T line will appear. The C line should always appear after a sample is applied, which indicates a valid result. By this means, the device can indicate the presence of FHV antibodies in the specimen.

Test Procedures

TEST PROCEDURE 

• Remove the test card from the foil pouch and place it flat on a work - surface.
• Transfer 3 drops of the treated sample from the assay tube into the sample well.
• Start the timer. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes to read the result.

 

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS


Positive (+):Both the Control (C) line and Test (T) line appear as magenta - colored lines in the testing window. Any faintly visible T line should be considered positive when the C line is also present.

Negative(-):The C line is visible, but the T line is not visible.

Invalid: No line appears in the C zone.
